Hubert Karreman, VMD, FACVBM

Dr. Karreman is a pioneer of organic veterinary medicine, especially the non-antibiotic treatment of infectious disease and non-hormonal treatment of infertility. He has been a dairy veterinarian since 1995, working with certified-organic herds for 20 years. He now helps run Reverence Farms, with his wife, Suzanne. He milks on set days, does herd health monitoring as well as all veterinary work. Reverence Farms practices management intensive grazing for their 75 Jersey cows. Each one has a name and has their calf by their side. Together, "Team Karreman", helps educate others about the joys and challenges of owning a cow. Dr. Karreman brings a total of 20 years of in-the-trenches veterinary experience and 10+ years of dairy herdsman work together to help you the best way possible. Please make sure that your internet connection is strong so there's no interruption of time together. While I can't legally diagnose a disease (give it a definite name like "pneumonia" or "mastitis" or "hardware disease") over the phone, the more symptoms you can give me the more likely I can think about what I've seen as a dairy practitioner and then I can tell you what I did for that particular case and/or what I could have done even more. Much of botanical and homeopathic medicine is based on symptoms and figuring out what matches the symptom picture. Being next to your cow with your phone can be very helpful to see symptoms and talk about her problem. It will be very helpful if you can also email photos ahead of time and your animal's name, age, date when last calved, and general problem.
